The Vulcan is an an excellent gun that has proved itself in many engagements.
The bolt action capability gives it the reliability that regardless of batteries, you can still cut the enemy to ribbons. It also gives you better range than when in full auto.
The bolt action is primarily used as a backup system, or for long range hits.
The Vulcan is also very versatile, you can even use it as an unmanned blaster if done properly, as I told you about what I did with my brother before in the ambush.
You can also modify the belt and combine multiple ones. This can give you the ability to fire continuously as long as you have another belt attached. For good mobility you can attach 3 belts together (75 darts), and put it in a 7.62 NATO ammo box and if done right it can act the same as it would with the belt holder included. See [link]
The bolt on it is difficult to use standing; you can hold the front with one hand (damn good grip required) and cock & fire with your trigger hand. Best if blot fired on the ground. Also so its heavy! It can also jam and is a pain to unjam.
Yes, despite its size and weight factors the N-Strike Havok Fire EBF-25 is a very good weapon with its belt fed fully automatic capability which goes down well in both heavy ambush and ground defense.
I created an ambush scenario, where the selected target would be forced into the line of fire I tied a string to the trigger and set it up so that it kept the trigger held down.
I then ambushed him from another angle and it went exactly as I had planed.
